Okay, I don’t normally verb to anon abhor , but I’m going to make an exception this period, just in case anon’s sister ever gets to view my reply.

I spent many of my primary school years feeling out of place. People seemed to have these strange ideas about gender and romance, none of which made any sense to me (boys and girls can’t stand next to each other! eeeeew, cooties! I heard that he likes her ooooooh!!) Why was everyone so obsessed with this sort of stuff? I’d always treated boys and girls in much the same way and I didn’t realize why that wasn’t how the whole world worked. It made me sense incredibly disconnected.
