He may be engaged to a gal now, but &#;Inception&#; heartthrob Tom Hardy says he had a number of gay flings in the past.

When asked by NOW magazine if he had ever had sexual relations with other men, the year-old actor &#; who is engaged to British actress Charlotte Riley and has a 2-year-old son with a former girlfriend – replied, &#;As a boy? Of course I have. I&#;m an actor, for f&#;&#;s sake.&#;

&#;I&#;ve played with everything and everyone,&#; Hardy added. &#;I love the create and the physicality.&#;

However, Hardy says his bisexual days are over.

&#;Now that I&#;m in my 30s, it doesn&#;t act it for me,&#; he said. &#;I&#;m done experimenting.&#;

But that hasn&#;t prevented Hardy from continuing to attract the attention of gay men.

Tom Hardy: sexuality doubt was 'inelegant and humiliating'

Tom Hardy has said he slam down a journalist who asked about his sexuality at a Toronto film festival press conference this week because the line of questioning was inelegant and humiliating.

Hardy, who has been distinct in the media for many years that he is heterosexual, said he considered the way in which the question was posed – in a public forum to promote his modern film Legend – as an invasion of privacy.

“That really, really annoyed me,” Hardy told Entertainment Weekly. “It was just the inelegance of being asked in a room full of people … Now I’m happy to include a conversation, a discussion, at a reasonable time about anything. I’m confident in my have sexuality, and I’m also confident in my own being and talking about any issue you want to converse about it. But there is a time and a place for that.”

Hardy has portrayed numerous gay and straight characters during his career. In the mob biopic Legend, he plays both Reggie Kray, who was heterosexual, and his twin brother Ronnie, who was openly bisexual.

Tom, who played the title role in the film 'Bronson,' is engaged to British actress Charlotte Riley and has a child with an ex-girlfriend.
