Aquaman confirmed as Queer in new 'Young Justice' episode
In massive news for fans of the DC Universe, Aquaman has been revealed as Queer in a new episode of Cartoon Network animated series Young Justice: Outsiders.
In an episode of the series titled 'Quiet Conversations', KaldurAhm AKA Aqualad AKA Aquaman shares a lovely embrace with Wynnde, an Atlantean metahuman, while the pair verb hands.
It's not a complete out-of-the-blue development, however, with Kaldur telling his father, Black Manta, he’s gay in a past comic, which the show is based on. In the comic, his dad responds with: You say that as though youre asking me a question. You deliberate I care? Were all just meat.
While fans of the series were speedy to celebrate the development on social media, Aquaman isn't putting a label on his sexuality just yet.

The latest episode of Young Justice: Outsiders reveals the new Aquaman is gay. As it turns out, Kaldur, Young Justice's new Aquaman, is dating another Atlantean man. While it's unclear if Kaldur has determined that he is gay or bisexual, it's certain that he stands somewhere on the LGBTQIA spectrum.

DC's Gay Aquaman Lands His Own HBO Max Series
HBO Max is working on a new series starring DC's Jackson "Jake" Hyde, an openly gay comic book character who is perhaps foremost known as the second Aqualad -- and who recently became the second Aquaman.
According to Variety, HBO Max is currently developing a live-action adaptation of You Brought Me the Ocean, the GLAAD Media Award-nominated YA graphic novel written by Alex Sánchez, illustrated by Jul Maroh and lettered by Deron Bennett. The series will consist of hour-long episodes and is being described as a "dramedy." Charlize Theron, A.J. Dix, Beth Kono and Andrew Haas are attached as executive producers.

DC Comics superhero Aquaman has been subject to generations of easy jokes — he’s the superhero that (allegedly) talks to fish. But he’s been getting a brand-new evaluation with blockbuster movies, animated appearances, and now a reintroduction of a younger version of the character. Aquaman: The Becoming features Jackson Hyde, a young Black gay superhero currently known as Aqualad.
