from the intersection of Lincoln Blvd. and 9th Ave. proceed on 9th Ave into the park. Travel past the Arboretum on your left. At the 3-way stop sign twist right. Begin looking for parking anywhere on that block. On the left side of the street is the Steinhart Aquarium and on the right is the softball field. The toilet is located between the street and the softball field.

Dolores Park is one of the most popular parks in San Francisco, and my personal favourite. Dolores was founded in , when the capital bought the property and turned it into a common park. In , Dolores served as a refugee camp for about 1, people after the infamous earthquake shook San Francisco, making those people, among others, homeless. The park was used as a refugee camp until the people were proficient to find substitute housing to their homes that were wrecked in the earthquake. After that, the park started becoming quite accepted to those who live around it.
Being located in the midst of Church, Dolores, 18th, and 20th streets, Dolores falls in the middle of widespread and busy neighbourhoods that have several attractions, including some of the more popular clubs and restaurants such as Beaux, The Castro Cafe, Harveys, The Mix and a few others in this predominantly gay neighbourhood.
