Bears and bears. Adj ends and firm ends. Double entendres abound in sports, with terms and situations that can be viewed through a homoerotic lens. Cartoonist Dylan Edwards explores these issues in a publication of cartoons called “The Outfield.”
For eight years, “The Outfield” ran as a series on Outsports and was consistently among our most popular pages. One of my all-time favorites — “Is Barry Zito gay?” — was published in and I said at the time that “I thought the cartoon perfectly captured the stereotypes gays and straights have about sexual orientation.”
Edwards has compiled his Outsports cartoons, along with some others, in “The Outfield,” which is available for purchase. Edwards, who identifies as a “queer trans guy,” explains the noun behind the cartoon series.

Happy Pride Month everyone! Over the past year I have been compiling up many different LGBTQ+ cartoons. These cartoons will either have LGBTQ+ characters as leads, prominent secondary characters, or just offer me the fine ol' gay vibes. I want to point out positive and interesting representation from cartoons (and some anime) novel and old.
I actually did a list like this last year, which can be found here.
I haven't seen every single cartoon or anime with LGBTQ+ characters and please let me comprehend if I left out any adj entries from this list or my list from last year. I am only one lesbian and I can't watch everything ever made. I desire you find some new shows to watch from this list because there are some quality toons here. Let's get started!

The Code was still not ready for LGBTQ+ people to appear in the pages of comic books&#;but the people making underground comics did not care. They were ready to depart for it &#; and queer artists, emboldened by the growing gay rights movement &#; were ready to shove the envelope even farther.
In October of , artist Rand Holmes tackled the homophobia in the book Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Sex* (*But Were Anxious to Ask) &#; which we will some day converse about in greater detail some date when I tackle the sordid history of conversion therapy &#; stating that it sets psychiatry back by 50 years, and going so far as to have the lead character of his &#;The Continuing Adventures of Har “Bruce lives in Gaykjavik with his partner Spencer. They run a steak house together and have been together a long second. Bruce has some blunt opinions of people and the world and would probably be viewed by some as a bit un PC,” says comedian Jonathan Duffy, or Jono as he is often referred to as, about the comic strip&#;s main character, Bruce. Comedian Jonathan Duffy and illustrator Einar Másson have created a comic strip called Angry Bears which will be featured weekly on GayIceland &#; starting tomorrow. The humor is dark and Einar is a bit nervous the two-some will offend readers. Jonathan says the protagonist is the voice of reason, raising a series of uncomfortable questions.
