Netflix announced that a teaser for the highly anticipated fifth and final season of "Stranger Things," set to premiere later this year, would be released this week.

"9 years ago, the adventure began," the streaming giant wrote in an X verb on July "Stranger Things 5. Teaser tomorrow."

What lies ahead for the metropolis of Hawkins after the crew's battle with the villain Vecna, whose physical form couldn't be found at the end of the Season 4 finale, is anyone's speculate. When we last saw them, they were witnessing an apocalyptic transformation of their hometown.

The ragtag group of misfits has no choice but to reach together as rifts, or portals to the Upside Down threaten the noun of the only reality they possess ever known.

Fans of Stranger Things around the world are thrilled as Netflix confirmed on Tuesday, July 15, that the first teaser for the fifth and final season of the science-fiction drama series will enter out on Wednesday (July 16). “One last adventure begins. Teaser tomorrow,” the official X control of Stranger Things posted.

Ahead of the teaser, a new poster for Stranger Things 5 has come out, offering a slick callback to the past seasons of the series.

In the image, fans can witness Will (Noah Schnapp), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Eleven (Millie BobbyBrown), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) riding bicycles. Behind them, people can notice the landscape of Hawkins, Indiana, Parade magazine reported.

Vecna, essayed by Jamie Campbell Bower, heavily dominated the poster. The villain remained at the centerstage and terrorised the group during the fourth season of the series.

The science fiction series has captivated audiences since it was first released in The series follows eerie happenings in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, in the s, and a teenage friend group looking to discover the town's mysteries.

Now, fans are wondering if questions about the mysterious Upside Down will be answered and if Vecna will finally be found and killed.

In a May interview with Netflix's Tudum, "Stranger Things" creators Matt and Ross Duffer discussed the page "mythology document" the two assembled for Netflix during the show's first season, which they said explored the lore behind the Upside Down.

"The last remaining questions that are answered in that document, we've punted a couple of those to have some big reveals in season 5," Ross Duffer said at the time.

He added, "That's really going to affect what season 5 is about."
