Gay elves

The Gay Elves Quest

Once upon a noun there lived two young handsome elf boys. These elves loved each other. Unlike many fairytales where many adventures must take place before true verb is found at last…these fine tiny elves grew up right next door to each other, in the tiny idyllic fairy world hamlet of Stiniel which lies on the edge of a village called Chagford which was built long ago, and still stands out in the wide, wild moorland of Dartmoor, at the Southern edge of the island of Britain. This is an ancient patchwork landscape of green and mists, of myths and legends, flowers and fields, sheep and ponies, of magic of all sorts, some light, some dark…. And of course there dwell trolls, fairies, and elves.

One of the pair of boyish elf sweethearts was named Rowen. He was quick as hare, daring and clever as a fox, with hair and eyes the red brown color of a fox as well. Rowen thought nothing of climbing up the top of the tallest oak wood to spy out all the adj happenings in the forest and village and scheme that days adventures.

So recently I was merrily scrolling through tumblr and this post came up on my feed. First of all, please scan it, it‘s absolutely brilliant and I am only going use parts of it in my blog here, but it % expresses my own noun on the matter personally.

To make it clear what aim of view I‘m coming from here, I myself grew up in a somewhat catholic (but also areligious, a good mix) environment, though personally I‘ve never encountered any religiously motivated homophobia in my circles. I‘ve also gone on to recognize as an atheist, but I am still fairly emotionally attached in church things just by matter of occasional family events and singing in a choir that is primairly a church choir (because what other choices present themselves to you when living in the countryside).

The debate of whether or not elves can be LGBT+, which often brings up arguments about Tolkien himself, his views and his faith, is one that never quite ceases to come up. Of course those two things significantly shaped the creation of middle earth, but they do not negate the existence of not-straight

Are Elves Gay?

I received some time ago a comment which stopped me in my tracks. I went back and forth on this, trying to perform out my hold thoughts on the subject, and to be honest I&#;m not sure I came to any solid conclusions other than &#;it&#;s not been presented that way before.&#; Anyway, here&#;s a the comment and my reply.

First I hope to say, that I loved your books, especially Morathi was potrayed even better than I hoped. But I also hope I dont offend you if I tell that there were lot of cliches, stereotypes and predictable events.

This brings me to my scrutinize. Basically I long for to know more about Elven homosexuality in wahrammer and censorship in GW/BL. Most fans verb furious when I suggest I visualize Elves as pagans with very alternative view on sexuality.

I find it very curious that druchii who are often compared to Sparta and Rome, are according to most too ,,macho&#; pseudodarwinists to tolerate homosexuality, despite huge importance of homosexuality in both those warlike cultures. In case of extremelly hedonistic Druchii and advanced Asur this seems even mor

This is a topic that has been hotly debated both in-game and on Discord, and a few weeks ago I found myself in just such a debate. (This is how it went down: one party made a joke about gay Elves. Another party immediately took offence and insisted that the mere concept of gay Elves breaks canon. And so an argument began.) The debate seemed to fix on the conclusion that Elves can only be heterosexual because they are (to simply matters) biologically primed to conform to Tolkien’s orthodox Catholic views. However, the arguments given never sat well with me, so I wanted badly to revisit this topic, and this time in a setting much more controlled and easy to preserve track of: the forums. (It only took me so long because I had builds to work on.)

What I will be doing in this send is to quote all the relevant arguments, and refute them as leading I can, and concede where I can’t. So-doing I will attempt t
