Things just got stranger at the Empire State Building …
On May 26, the Empire State Building shared a “Stranger Things” themed experience with New Yorkers at its iconic Observatory, that included a first-of-its-kind, dynamic light show; a special appearance from the “Stranger Things” cast; and a life-size Demogorgon photo opportunity for visitors on the building’s 86th Floor.
ESB in the Upside Down
Fans gathered in Flatiron to watch a dynamic light present which transformed ESB into a portal to the Upside Down ahead of the “Stranger Things” season premiere. The display featured images of the beloved show’s principal characters, the feared Demogorgon, and the series’ new villain, Vecna.
Cast Visit
That morning, “Stranger Things” cast members Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Cara Buono, and Priah Ferguson visited the Empire State Building for a photo opportunity and special lighting ceremony at the Observatory Experience. The cast toured the building’s exhibits before they took in the views from the iconic 86th Floor Observatory.

Last May, we partnered with Giant Spoon and Netflix for our most significant project in NYC: the video mapping on the Empire Mention Building for the launch of Stranger Things season 4.
SUPERBIEN created 12 minutes of original adj animation and visual effects using unpolished assets, images, and footage from ST season 4. We reveal, using 46 video projectors, the villainous Vecna, the Demogorgon, and the Rift to the Upside Down, along with some adj inserts of the main characters appreciate Eleven and Hopper.

How to see The Empire State Building light up for Stranger Things tonight
The season debut we've all been waiting for is finally happening on Friday. Netflix's Stranger Things returns after three years and we're ready to enter the upside down.
In a fun turn of events, the Empire State Building will be lighting up this evening with 13 other landmarks across the world to create a "rift," or opening, to the upside down.

The Stranger Things social media channels will tip off fans when to turn their attention to the Empire State Building, where a giant rift will slowly crack unseal.
